What is SEAOrigins?
SEAOrigins: The Experimental Coffee Auction is the first regional auction of its kind, featuring rare, small-batch experimental coffees from the Philippines, Myanmar, and Thailand. It’s a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and the evolving identity of Southeast Asian coffee.
How does the bidding process work?
  1. Create a free account
  2. Browse or search for items you're interested in
  3. Place your bid by entering the amount you're willing to pay
  4. If you're outbid, you'll receive a notification
  5. If you win, you'll complete payment and arrange shipping

All auctions have clear end times, and the highest bid at that time wins.

What is proxy bidding?
Proxy bidding is our automatic bidding system. You enter the maximum amount you're willing to pay, and our system will bid incrementally on your behalf, only bidding as much as needed to maintain your position as highest bidder (up to your maximum). This helps you win at the lowest possible price without constantly monitoring the auction.
Who can participate in the auction?
The auction is open to:
  • Roasters
  • Green coffee buyers
  • Importers
  • Specialty distributors
  • Coffee enthusiasts with an interest in sourcing or exploring experimental lots
  • What currency is used for bidding?
All bidding is done in USD ($). For local reference, the conversion rate is set at PHP 57 = 1 USD.
What is the minimum bid increment?
The minimum bid increment is USD $0.50 per bidding round.
When do I need to pay for a won auction?
Payment is due immediately upon winning an auction. You'll receive an email notification with payment instructions. Items will be shipped only after payment is confirmed. Unpaid items may be relisted after 48 hours, and repeated non-payment may result in account suspension.
How do I pay for the coffee I win?
Invoices will be sent within 48 hours after the auction ends. Payments must be completed within 7 days, via:
  • Bank Transfer
  • GCash
  • Other approved payment methods
  • How are winners selected?
The highest bid above the lot’s reserve price at the time of auction close wins the lot. All winning bids are final and binding.
    What are the shipping options?
    1. Mt. Apo Coffees (Philippines): Available for pick-up in Davao City or local shipping
    2. Myanmar & Thailand Coffees: Shipping will be arranged via email after the auction
    3. Note: International shipping requires phytosanitary documentation, coordinated with organizers
Can I cancel or withdraw my winning bid?
No. All winning bids are final. Withdrawing from a winning bid may result in:
  • Forfeiture of the lot
  • Disqualification from future auctions
  • Public notice shared with relevant trade partners
  • Can I get samples of the coffees before bidding?
Samples are not distributed by default, but are available for sale upon request. Contact the organizers for pricing and shipping options.
How do I reset my password?
Contact the administrator to reset you password in "Homepage".
    Why was my account suspended?
Accounts may be suspended for violations of our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:
    • Non-payment for won auctions
